This booklet was published by Conradh na Gaeilge as part of the awareness scheme ‘Our Shared Language’ funded by the Central Good Relations Fund of the Executive Office.  It details the history and development of the Irish language. Proposals by Sinn Féin to introduce an Irish language act have met resistance from the Democratic Unionist Party and the issue has divided the Northern Ireland Assembly.
