In Touch with Earth’s Treasures

This event has now ended. 

A sensory tour of crystals, fossils, elements and more. This is a drop-in event, providing an opportunity to handle objects with different shapes, textures, densities and even smells, and to discover some of the reasons behind these varying properties.

This event is aimed particularly at people with visual impairments.

What to know 

• This is a drop-in event taking place with Curator Mike Simms in the Discover Nature Classroom. 

• Please note, this activity will be closed to the public for an hour between 13:45 and 14:45. 

• No booking needed. Please enquire at reception on arrival.
