BEUYS
50 Years Later: Action, Society, Performance and Change
The Ekphrasis project is a collaboration with the Seamus Heaney Centre, resulting in a pamphlet of new poems written by students in response to our BEUYS exhibition.
Join us on Thursday 1st May for the Launch of Our Ekphrasis Project: A Celebration of Art and Poetry at Ulster Museum.
The Ekphrasis Project is in collaboration with the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s University, which honours the long-standing relationship between writers and artists in Belfast.
Each year, we work with the Centre and its talented students to host a series of seminars and live events, and the publication of a pamphlet featuring new poems written by the students in response to artworks from the Ulster Museum's collection.
This year’s theme centres around the Beuys exhibition, currently on display at Ulster Museum
A special addition for this year’s launch will be an additional pamphlet in partnership with Eva Isherwood Wallace, Margaret Middleton, and Outburst Festival as part of the ‘Queer Looking in the Museum’ project.
