Learn the skills of our ancient ancestors with The Community Archaeology Programme Northern Ireland (CAPNI) from Queens University at the Ulster Museum on Friday 26th July.

Join CAPNI for a day of drop-in activities featuring our ancient ancestors' arts, crafts and traditional skills. Have a go at various experimental archaeological activities, from pottery making to 'cordage making'. After the activities, head into the our galleries to see real artefacts dating from thousands of years ago! 

What to know:

  • The event is free to attend, no booking is required
  • This event will take place in the atrium at the Ulster Museum
  • This activity is suitable for individuals of all ages

This event is in partnership with the Community Archaeology Programme Northern Ireland (CAPNI) at Queen's University Belfast and the Council for British Archaeology's Festival of Archaeology.
