Celebrate Human Rights Day at the Ulster Museum with with Conflict Textiles and Amnesty International.
Join us in the Inclusive Global Histories gallery for a performance by Donna Nalongo, a talented musician, singer and storyteller from Uganda. Donna and Takura Makoni (ACSONI) will then reflect on the UN Decade For People Of African Descent.
Take a tour of the Threads of Empowerment exhibition with Roberta Bacic, curator of the Conflict Textiles collection. There will be a special focus on textiles from Africa, currently on display.
Patrick Corrigan from Amnesty International will then speak about the importance of human rights in 2024. He'll discuss its flagship Write for Rights initiative – the world’s biggest human rights campaign.
