A drop in performance by artist Amanda Coogan in our BEUYS exhibition
Join us for a unique experience as Irish artist Amanda Coogan takes to our BEUYS gallery for a captivating performance. Coogan’s work is influenced by her early life, having grown up in a household where Irish sign language was her first language, as her parents were deaf. This connection continues to resonate throughout her artistic practice.
Coogan, who graduated from the National College of Art and Design in 1998, is known for her live exhibitions that engage audiences through powerful, embodied expressions of time and space. She has been featured in major international art events, including the Venice Biennale in 2003 and the Liverpool Biennial in 2004, and received the prestigious Allied Irish Bank’s Art Prize in 2004.
Coogan's film Gnawing on the Bones - Reflections on Beuys (2022), is also featured as part of our Beuys exhibition (kindly on loan from the artist).
See Amanda Coogan's performance in reaction to our BEUYS exhibition on Saturday 17th May. No booking needed!
