Join artist Anushiya Sundaralingam for a performance and workshop based on our தப்பி ஓடு Tappi Odu (Flee) art installation in the Ulster Museum

Performance and Workshop
Date
Wednesday 30th October
Time
13:00-15:00

Watch a performance by Tamil artist Anushiya Sundaralingam, and get involved in this participatory workshop, based on our current art installation Tappi Odu (Flee) in the Ulster Museum.

Tappi Odu (Flee) explores the collective experiences of Tamil communities and diaspora populations. The installation features images of footprints from countries across the globe.

At this event, you’ll be invited to participate in a communal piece and leave your own footprints - bare, vulnerable, and symbolic of the universal experience of displacement.

About

Anushiya Sundaralingam is a multi-disciplinary artist from Sri Lanka who has lived through the conflict in her homeland. She explores themes of displacement, migration, and the diaspora experience. Although she wasn’t forced to leave, the impact of the civil war that began in July 1983 deeply influences her work. Having relocated to Belfast in 1995, she has created art that reflects the complexity of belonging, identity, and cultural transition.
