Eco Investigators

Ecosystems around the world are changing, leading to loss of habitat, threatening plant and animal species and impacting the daily lives of humans. It can be a difficult topic to discuss, so how can we help young people feel agency in tackling these issues? Using real natural history specimens and a combination of local and global case studies, your class will learn more about the importance of biodiversity and conservation work. They will investigate the causes and effects of invasive species, plastic pollution, deforestation and climate change, eventually proposing their own ideas for what can be done now and in the future to safeguard our environment.
