Hands-on Ancient Egypt

Enter the world of Ancient Egypt in an interactive workshop that uncovers the beliefs and technologies of this fascinating ancient civilisation!

Pupils will work in groups to take on the active learning challenge ‘What’s my job?’ exploring tools and resources used in everyday working life, before sharing their discoveries with the rest of the class.

Pupils will learn about the processes involved in mummification, and they will have the unique opportunity to investigate real artefacts from our collection up close.

After the workshop, your class can explore the galleries at their own pace; come face to face with the mummified remains of Takabuti, and view an inspiring selection of artefacts.
